- Qumran: Visit the desert caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, shedding light on the texts that significantly predate the earliest known versions of Hebrew scriptures.
- Jerash: Walk through one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world, exploring its colonnaded streets, grand temples, and theatres.
- Petra: Spend a full day in the ancient Nabatean city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its stunning architecture carved directly into pink sandstone cliffs.
- Mount Nebo: Stand where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land, and now offers breathtaking views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
We embark from North America, setting out on our overnight journey to Tel Aviv. As we fly across continents, our hearts prepare for the spiritual awakening that lies ahead.
Upon landing in Tel Aviv, we are warmly greeted by representatives and transferred to our hotel along the Mediterranean. Here, we’ll unwind and spend our first night in the Holy Land, with dinner provided.
Our pilgrimage begins earnestly after breakfast as we head north along the Mediterranean coast to the ancient city of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honor of Caesar. We explore the remains of the Crusader City, its impressive aqueduct, and the amphitheater. Our journey continues through the Jezreel Valley to Megiddo and the prophetic site of Armageddon. After visiting Gideon’s brook and Mt. Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal, we reach Tiberias for an overnight stay by the tranquil Sea of Galilee.
We experience a sunrise service on the Sea of Galilee, a truly divine spectacle. We then cross the lake to Capernaum to visit the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached. Our path takes us to the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, and the sites around Caesarea Philippi and the majestic Golan Heights. We close our day with a reflective stop at the Jordan River, where an optional baptism service can be conducted.
Today, we visit Cana and Nazareth, where the Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Fountain stand. Our journey leads us through Bethshean and down the Jordan Valley to Jericho. We marvel at the ancient city where walls fell and view the Mt. of Temptation. Our day culminates with our arrival in Jerusalem, where we prepare for days of profound exploration.
Our exploration of Jerusalem begins with panoramic views from Mt. Scopus and the Mount of Olives. We walk the biblical paths to the Garden of Gethsemane and visit significant sites such as the Church of All Nations, the Western Wall, and the Temple Mount. We follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and visit the Garden Tomb, concluding with a worship service at Golgotha.
We descend to the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, and ascend by cable car to the fortress of Masada. After exploring the site of the Jewish zealots’ last stand, we visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, and return to Jerusalem through the historic Jericho Road.
We depart Jerusalem, crossing into Jordan, and explore Jerash, a grand example of a Roman Decapolis city, before settling in Amman for the night.
Our journey through Jordan takes us to Madaba to see the ancient mosaic map and onto Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land. We then continue to Petra for an overnight stay.
We delve into the ancient city of Petra, a breathtaking Nabatean city carved into red rock, exploring its most significant monuments from the Treasury to the Royal Tombs and the High Place of Sacrifice.
We return to Jerusalem for a day of leisure, providing time to reflect on our spiritual journey or explore more of this historic city at our own pace.
We depart for the airport filled with lasting memories and spiritual insights, ready to bring our renewed faith back home.
