Holy Land and Cairo

Join us on an amazing 11-day tour to the Holy Land and Cairo. Visit the ancient Egypt, admire the Kings Pyramids and the iconic Sphinx. Walk where Jesus walked and visit the sites where the Lord performed miracles. Get spiritually elevated while walking in the alleys of the Holy City, along the Via Dolorosa. In this trip the Bible will come alive while visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana and many other Biblical Sites.

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Cairo. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

Munich/cairo

DAY O2

During our layover in Munich Airport, we will enjoy a short visit to the city. Our bus will pick us up from the airport and drop us off in time to make our connection flight to Cairo. Upon our arrival at the Cairo airport we will be met by Lions Gate representatives who will assist us to our wait- ing bus for a short transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAy 03

After a late breakfast we begin our tour of Cairo. Tour of the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Egyptian artefacts. Marvel at the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his golden death mask, rich jewelry, and even his sandals! Visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar and try your hand at bartering. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAy 04

After breakfast we begin our tour of Cairo. We begin with the Giza Pyramids. Admire the three vast pyramids of the kings and the several smaller pyramids that were tombs of the queens: As you stroll the sands you will encouter the Valley Temple and the iconic Sphinx. We end the day with a Dinner Cruise on the Nile River.

Day 05

This morning we begin a long journey through the Sinai Desert. We arrive at our hotel along the Red Sea. Remainder of the day is spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

Transfer border/galilee

Day 06

Our morning in spent at leisure. After breakfast enjoy some free time along the Red Sea. Transfer border into Israel and drive to the Galilee region. Upon arrival we transfer to our hottel for dinner and overnight stay.

Tiberias

Day 07

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached. We continue to the Mt. of Beati- tudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. We end the day at the Jordan River where a Baptismal is optional. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM

Day 08

After brekafast we head south to Masada. We ascend the mountain by cable car. See the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70- 73 A.D Jewish zealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qum- ran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were dicovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Essenes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Drive the Jericho Road to the Inn of the Good Samaritan to Jerusalem. As we enter the city we visit Mt of Olives for a spectacular panormaic view of the city. Return to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Jerusalem

Day 09

We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Geth semane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. See the Pillar of Ab- salom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple. We then drive to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiaphas’ House, the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. We continue with a tour New Jerusalem: Visit Yad Vashem a memorial built for six million lives that perished

Jerusalem

Day 10

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached. We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drives to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights where Israel shares a border with Lebanon and Syria. Continue the day with a visit to Nazareth and Cana. Visit the Church of Annunciation. We end the day at the Jordan River where a Baptismal is optional. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart early to the airport for our flight home filled with amazing memories from the land of the Bible.
