Holy Land and Athens

Join us for a tour of a lifetime. We begin in the Holy Land where Jesus walked and visit the sites where the Lord performed miracles. Get spiritually elevated while walking in the alleys of the Holy City, along the Via Dolorosa. In this trip the Bible will come alive while visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana and many other Biblical Sites. We continue to Greece where you will visit the Panathenaic Stadium, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Corinth Canal and much more.

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Athens. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

ATHENS

Day 02

Upon our arrival in Athens we will be met by Lionsgate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

CORINTH

Day 03

Today’s journey takes us to Corinth. After briefly stopping at the Corinthian Canal we proceed to nearby Cenchrea, one of the two harbors of ancient Corinth. We also pass through Isthmia which housed an impressive temple to Poseidon and the Isthmi- an Games. More time is spent visiting ancient Corinth. Exten- sive ruins of Corinth are visible today, including temples, water fountains, shops, various public buildings, the largest Agora (“Marketplace”) in the ancient world and the Bema, where Paul likely met before the governor Gallio (Acts 18:12-17). The Co- rinthian Museum contains many significant artifacts, several of which have a direct link to events, items and people mentioned in the New Testament. We also stop at the port of Cachreae from where Paul sailed to Ephesus. We return to Athens for dinner and overnight.

ATHENs

Day 04

After breakfast we will start our touring with visit of the Acropo- lis, which towers over the city of Athens and houses the Parthe- non, the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens, and the Temple of Athena Nike. The area surrounding the Acropolis houses a number of other striking archeological sights: the Stoa of Atta- los, the Theatre of Dionysus, the Odeion of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of Hephaestus, the Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The city of Athens also contains several modern sights that are of interest: Panathenaic Stadium, Constitution Square (Syntagma), House of Parliament, Presidential Palace, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Also visit Mars Hill where Paul addressed the Judges.Group may gather here. Dinner and overnight in Athens.

ATHENS/TEl aviv

DAY O5

We transfer to the airport for our flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel. The remainder of the day will be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

TIBERIAS/NAZARETH

DAy 06

After breakfast we begin our journey of the Holy Land as we trace the footsteps of Jesus. We begin with a drive along the shores of the Mediterranean to Caesarea. is ancient city was built in honor of Caesar by Herod the Great, and was the capital of the Romans in the Holy Land for nearly 500 years. See the Crusader City its fantastic aqueduct, and the amphitheatre. We continue on to Haifa through the Jezreel Valley. Stop at Megiddo and the elds of Armageddon. Megiddo is one of King Solomon’s “chariot cit- ies”, and, according to scripture, the location for the last battle in history. See Gideon’s brook, and the “Well of Herod. Drive to the crest of Mt. Carmel - where Elijah’s contest with the prophets of Baal. We end the day at Nazareth and the Basilica of the Annun- ciation. We reach Tiberias and transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay along the picturesque Sea of Galilee.

Capernaum/Caesarea Philippi/ Mt. Hermon/ Golan Heights

DAy 07

Golan Heights There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drives to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Jerusalem

Day 08

With an early morning departure we head south towards Jeru- salem. Our first stop takes us to Jericho where the walls came tumbling down. We continue to Qasr El Yahud where an optional Baptimal service is possible before we proceed to the highlight of out tour. We drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Church of Pater Noster and the Dominus Flevit. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Gar- den of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. See the Pillar of Absalom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple. We then drive to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiaphas’ House, the Up- per Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. We end the day with a prayer service at the Garden Tomb.We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Masada / Dead Sea / Qumeran

Day 09

Today we head further south 1300ft under sea level to the Dead Sea. A beautiful new road takes us south along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and see the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70- 73 A.D Jew- ish zealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qumran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were dicovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Es- senes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Visit Ein Gedi. Then return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.

JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM

Day 10

Today begins with a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We begin at the Western Wall where Jews flock from around the world to pray. We continue to the Temple Area of Mt. Moriah. Visit the El Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock built on the ancient site of Solomon’s Temple and over the Rock of Sacrifice where Abraham offered Isaac and the ceremonial sacrifice of animals took place. After this we walk along the Via Dolorosa to Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation, the Ecce Homo Arch where Jesus was tried before Pilate. We then walk through the Old City bazaars. Con- tinue to the Temple Institute dedicated to teaching the significance of the Holy Temple. This afternoon continue our tour to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, and Shepherds Fields and the Field of Boaz and Ruth. We return to Jerusalem through Rachel’s Tomb for dinner and overnight .

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart to the airport for our flight home filled with great memories from a Tour of a Lifetime.
