Holy Land and Jordan

Join us for a tour of a lifetime. Visit the ancient Petra, walk where Jesus walked and visit the sites where the Lord performed miracles. Get spiritually elevated while walking in the alleys of the Holy City, along the Via Dolorosa. In this trip the Bible will come alive while visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana and many other Biblical Sites.

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Aman. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

Amman

DAY O2

Upon our arrival at the Amman airport, we will be met by Lions Gate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel along for dinner and an overnight stay.

AMmAN

DAy 03

See Jabal al-Qala’a hill and the Temple of Hercules. Visit Rainbow Street, a more modern take on this ancient city. We continue to Madaba known for its ancient churches as well as its preserved its 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Before we return to Amman we stop at Mt Nebo where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

PETRA

DAy 04

After breakfast we begin our tour with a visit to the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque. the Coptic Christian Hanging Church. One of Egypt’s most famous churches, it was built in Basilican design above the southern gate of the Roman Babylon Fortress thus making it suspended. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Synagogue of Ben Ezra in Cairo was originally named El-Shamieen Church, and is situated today behind the “Hanging church”. Finally, we end the day at the famous Khan al-Khalili bazaar haggling for souvenirs and experiencing first-hand the culture of Egyptians in their daily lives. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Nazareth / Tiberias

Day 05

After breakfast we travel to the north Jordan/Israel border. Upon crossing we will be met and greeted by our Israeli crew that will escort us to an awaiting motorcoach to begin the second part of our journey. We stop at Beit Shean to visit the most recent exca- vations from the Roman times. We’ll visit Migdal, the home of Mary Magdalene and see the “Jesus Boat” at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar. We’ll then drive the plain of Ginosar to Tabgha where Jesus “multiplied the loaves and fish.” Visit Nazareth, Jesus’s boyhood home and the Church of Annunciation. Continue to Cana the site of the early miracles. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in the Galilee.

Galilee/Caesarea Philippi/Capernaum/Jordan River

Day 06

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha – the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drive to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; We end the day at the Jordan River, for an optional Baptismal service. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Meggido/Caesarea/Jericho

Day 07

After breakfast we begin our tour with a visit to Meggido, the site of 21 battles from the Old Testament and where it says in the Book of Revelation the final battle between good and evil will take place. Here we’ll also get to explore Canaanite ruins and the “Chariot Cities” of Kings Solomon and Ahab. We then visit Mount Carmel and Muhraka to witness the location of Elijah’s contest with Jezebel’s false prophets of Ba’al. Here we’ll be able to view the Jezreel Valley. Continue to ancient Caesarea, site of Paul and Peter’s experiences on the Mediterranean Coast. As we make our way to Jerusalem we stop in Jericho where the “walls came tumbling down”. We end the day in Jerusalem with dinner and overnight.

Jerusalem/Bethlehem

Day 08

We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. We begin the day with a drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. We’ll then see the Temple Mount. Visit the Lions’ Gate and the Pools of Bethesda. We’ll then visit the Tower of Antonia, the Praetorium, and Pilate’s Judgement Hall. Here our Lord was tried by Pilate, beaten by the Roman Cohort, and took up His Cross for Calvary. The Ecce Homo begins the traditional Via Dolorosa leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Jewish Quarter. We stop at the Wailing Wall to pray. We conclude our tour of the old city with a visit to Garden Tomb for a prayer service. Visit Yad Vashem a memorial built for six million lives that perished during the Holocaust, before we end the day, we stop in Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity and Shepherd’s Field. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

MASADA

Day 09

This morning we drive up to Masada. Masada is the most important mountain in Israel’s history. Learn the incredible story of the Jewish Freedom Fighters who held out against the Romans in 73A.D. The story of the struggle, the excavations, and the view from the top is one unforgettable highlight of our tour. Before we leave Masada, we take some time to Swim in the Dead Sea. Drive to Ein Gedi, the oasis in the desert where David hid. Next stop at Qumran site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM

Day 10

Today we spend the day at leisure. Take time to revisit favorite sites, stroll down Ben Yehuda street with its iconic shops and cafes. Or just relax in our hotel. Dinner and overnigt stay at our hotel.

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart to the airport for our flight home filled with amazing memories from the land of the Bible.
