Holy Land and Rome Tour

Join us for a tour of a lifetime. We start with Rome where you can visit Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Square, Church of St. Peter and Basilica of St. Paul and more. We will continue to the Holy Land where Jesus walked and visit the sites where the Lord performed miracles. Get spiritually elevated while walking in the alleys of the Holy City, along the Via Dolorosa. In this trip the Bible will come alive while visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana and many other Biblical Sites.

USA

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Cairo. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

Rome

DAY O2

Upon our arrival into Rome, we will be met by Lionsgate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Rome

DAy 03

After breakfast we begin our journey. Visit Moses’ Fountain, Quirinale Palace, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Arch of Titus, the Coliseum site of early Christian martyrdom and Mamertine Prison, possibly the final place of confinement of the Apostle Paul before his execution. Visit the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Piazza Navona. Walk around the beautiful Via del Corso. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Rome

DAy 04

Visit the Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Square, Church of St. Peter and Basilica of St. Paul. Enjoy the remainder of the after- noon at leisure for to enjoy local avenues, sites, cafes and so much that Rome has to offer. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at our hotel in Rome.

Rome/Tel Aviv

Day 05

We transfer to the airport for our flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Nazareth / Tiberias

Day 06

After breakfast we begin our journey of the Holy Land as we trace the footsteps of Jesus. We begin with a drive along the shores of the Mediterranean to Caesarea. This ancient city was built in honor of Caesar by Herod the Great, and was the capital of the Romans in the Holy Land for nearly 500 years. See the Crusader City, its fantastic aqueduct, and the amphitheatre. We continue on to Haifa through the Jezreel Valley. Stop at Megiddo and the fields of Armageddon. Megiddo is one of King Solomon’s “chariot cities”, and according to scripture, the location for the last battle in history. See Gideon’s brook, and the “Well of Herod”. Drive to the crest of Mt. Carmel where Elijah’s contest with the prophets of Baal. We end the day at Nazareth and the Basilica of the Annunciation. We reach Tiberias and transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay along the picturesque Sea of Galilee.

Capernaum/Caesarea Philippi/ Mt. Hermon/ Golan Heights

Day 07

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached. We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha – the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drive to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights where Israel shares a border with Lebanon and Syria. On our way back we stop at the Jordan River where an optional Baptismal Service is possible. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Beit Shean/Jericho/Bethlehem/Jerusalem

Day 08

This morning we travel to Beit-Shean, to see the most recent ex- cavations from the Roman Era. We then head south through the Jordan Valley to ancient Jericho, where the “walls came tumbling down.” Enjoy a view of the Mt. of Temptation and see Elisha’s Fountain. We continue our tour to Bethlehem. We visit the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus, Shepherds Fields and the Field of Boaz and Ruth. As we drive through the Judean country our hearts are filled with elation in anticipation of entering Jerusalem. We transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masada / Dead Sea / Qumeran

Day 09

Today we head further south 1300ft under sea level to the Dead Sea. A beautiful new road takes us south along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and see the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70- 73 A.D Jew- ishzealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qumran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Essenes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Visit Ein Gedi. Then return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.

Jerusalem

Day 10

Today begins with a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We begin at the Western Wall where Jews flock from around the world to pray. We continue to the Temple Area of Mt. Moriah. Visit the El Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock built on the ancient site of Solomon’s Temple. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation, the Ecce Homo Arch where Jesus was tried before Pilate. We then walk through the Old City bazaars to the Church of the Holy Seplecher. Visit the Upper Room and King David’s Tomb. End the day at Golgotha for a prayer service. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart to the airport for our flight home filled with amazing memories from the land of the Bible.
