Holy Land and Jordan Tour

Join us for a tour of a life time. Visit the ancient Petra, walk where Jesus walked and visit the sites where the Lord performed miracles. Get spiritually elevated while walking in the alleys of the Holy City, along the Via Dolorosa. In this trip the Bible will come alive while visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana and many other Biblical Sites.

Tour Itinerary

USA

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Aman. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

Amman

DAY O2

Upon our arrival at the Amman airport, we will be met by Lions Gate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel along for dinner and an overnight stay.

AMmAN

DAy 03

After breakfast we begin our tour of Amman in the Hashemite Kingdom. See the Roman amphitheatre and the Amman Citadel. See Jabal al-Qala’a hill and the Temple of Hercules. Visit Rainbow Street, a more modern take on this ancient city. We continue to Madaba known for its ancient churches as well as its preserved ts 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Before we return to Amman we stop at Mt Nebo where Moses was granted a view of the Promised Land. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

PETRA

DAy 04

After breakfast drive to Petra; established around the 6th cen- tury BC, by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Despite successive attempts by the Seleucid King Antigonus, the Roman Emperor Pompey and Herod the Great to bring Petra under the control of their respective empires, Petra remained largely in Nabataean hands until around 100 AD, when the Romans took over. The reddish-yellow stone which the Nabataeans exploited to carve their temples is delicate and can be easily crumbled into sand, but Petra remains a testament to their strength and ingenuity. In 2007 Petra was pronounced one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. We return to Amman for din- ner and overnight stay.

Galilee

Day 05

After breakfast we travel to the north Jordan/Israel border. Upon crossing we will be met and greeted by our Israeli crew that will escort us to an awaiting motorcoach to begin the second part of our journey. We’ll visit Migdal, the home of Mary Magdalene and see the “Jesus Boat” at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar. We’ll then drive the plain of Ginosar to Tabgha where Jesus “multiplied the loaves and fish.” Visit Nazareth, Jesus’s boyhood home and the Church of Annunciation. Continue to Cana the site of the early miracles. Dinner and overnight in our hotel in the Galilee.

Galilee/Caesarea Philippi/Capernaum/Jordan River

Day 06

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached. We continue to the Mt. of Beatitude, the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount”. Drive to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; We end the day at the Jordan River, for an optional Baptismal service. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Meggido/Caesarea/Jericho

Day 07

After breakfast we begin our tour with a visit to Meggido, the site of 21 battles from the Old Testament and according to the Book of Revelation the location of the final battle between good and evil. Here we’ll also get to explore Canaanite ruins and the “Chariot Cities” of Kings Solomon and Ahab. We then visit Mount Carmel and Muhraka to witness the location of Elijah’s contest with Jezebel’s false prophets of Ba’al. Here we’ll be able to view the Jezreel Valley. Continue to ancient Caesarea, site of Paul and Peter’s experiences on the Mediterranean Coast. We end the day in Jerusalem with dinner and overnight.

Jerusalem/Bethlehem

Day 08

We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. We begin the day with a drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. We’ll then see the Temple Mount. Visit the Lions’ Gate and the Pools of Bethesda. We’ll then visit the Tower of Antonia, the Praetorium, and Pilate’s Judgement Hall. Here our Lord was tried by Pilate, beaten by the Roman Cohort, and took up His Cross for Calvary. The Ecce Homo begins the traditional Via Dolorosa leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Jewish Quarter. We stop at the Wailing Wall to pray. We conclude our tour of the old city with a visit to Garden Tomb for a prayer service. Visit Yad Vashem a memorial built for six million lives that perished during the Ho- locaust,. Before we end the day we stop in Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity and Shepherd’s Field. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

MASADA

Day 09

This morning we drive down to Masada. Masada is the most important mountain in Israel’s history. Learn the incredible story of the Jewish Freedom Fighters who held out against the Romans in 73A.D. The story of the struggle, the excavations, and the view from the top is one unforgettable highlight of our tour. Before we leave Masada we take some time to Swim in the Dead Sea. Drive to Ein Gedi, the oasis in the desert where David hid. Next stop at Qumran site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM

Day 10

Today we spend the day at leisure. Revisit favorite sites or stroll down Ben Yehuda Street with its iconic cafes and shope. Try your hand at bartering at the local markets or just relax in our hotel. We meet back at our hotel for dinner ad overnight.

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart to the airport for our flight home filled with amazing memories from the land of the Bible.
