USA

DAY 01

We depart North America on our overnight flight to Cairo. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.

CAIRO

DAY O2

Upon our arrival at the Cairo airport, we will be met by Lionsgate representatives who will assist us to our waiting bus for a short transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAy 03

After a late breakfast we begin our tour of Cairo. We begin with the Giza Pyramids. Admire the three vast pyramids of the kings and the several smaller pyramids that were tombs of the queens. As you stroll the sands you will encounter the Valley Temple and the iconic Sphinx. Tour the Egyptian Antiquities Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Marvel at the treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his golden death mask, rich jewelry, and even his sandals! Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAy 04

After breakfast we begin our tour with a visit to the Citadel of Saladin, the Alabaster Mosque. the Coptic Christian Hanging Church. One of Egypt’s most famous churches, it was built in Basilican design above the southern gate of the Roman Babylon Fortress thus making it suspended. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue. The Synagogue of Ben Ezra in Cairo was originally named El-Shamieen Church, and is situated today behind the “Hanging church”. Finally, we end the day at the famous Khan al-Khalili bazaar haggling for souvenirs and experiencing first-hand the culture of Egyptians in their daily lives. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

ISRAEL BORDER/DEAD SEA

Day 05

This morning we begin a long journey through the Sinai Border. Upon arrival at the Border, we will be met by our Israeli representatives who will escort us to our bus to begin our journey of the Holy Land. We travel to the Dead Sea where we will have dinner and an overnight stay in our hotel.

MASADA /QUMRAN

Day 06

This morning Ascend Masada Mountain by cable car and see the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70- 73 A.D Jewish zealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qumran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Essenes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Drive the Jericho Road to the Inn of the Good Samaritan, then return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.

Jerusalem

Day 07

We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. We begin the day with a drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Church of Pater Noster and the Dominus Flevit. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. See the Pillar of Absalom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple. We then drive to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiaphas’ House, the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. We continue with a tour New Jerusalem: Visit Yad Vashem a memorial built for six million lives that perished during the Holocaust. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

JERUSALEM/BETHLEHEM

Day 08

Today begins with a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We begin at the Western Wall where Jews flock from around the world to pray. We continue to the Temple Area of Mt. Moriah. Visit the El Aksa Mosque area and the Dome of the Rock built on the ancient site of Solomon’s Temple and over the Rock of Sacrifice where Abraham offered Isaac and the ceremonial sacrifice of animals took place. After this we walk along the Via Dolorosa to Pilate’s Judgment Hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation, the Ecce Homo Arch where Jesus was tried before Pilate. We then continue through the Old City bazaars to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit the Garden Tomb and Golgotha - Place of the Skull - for a worship service. This afternoon we continue our tour to Bethlehem. We visit the Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus, and Shepherds Fields and the Field of Boaz and Ruth. We return to Jerusalem through Rachel’s Tomb for dinner and overnight.

CAESAREA/MEGIDDO/MT. CARMEL

Day 09

Drive along the shores of the Mediterranean to Caesarea. This ancient city was built in honor of Caesar by Herod the Great and was the Roman Capital of Judea in the Holy Land for nearly 500 years. See the Crusader City, it's fantastic aqueduct, and the amphitheater. We continue on to Haifa through the Jezreel Valley. Stop at Megiddo and the fields of Armageddon. Megiddo is one of King Solomon’s “chariot cities”, and, according to scripture, the location for the last battle in history. See Gideon’s brook, and the “Well of Herod”. Drive to the crest of Mt. Carmel - where Elijah’s contest with the prophets of Baal. We continue east across the Galilee region to view Mt. Tabor and visit Deboriya, the hometown of the prophetess Deborah located at the foothill of Mt. Tabor. Before reaching the Galilee, we stop at Beit Shaen to see the most recent excavations from the Roman Era. We arrive at Tiberias and transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay along the picturesque Sea of Galilee.

TIBERIAS

Day 10

There is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached. We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount” and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Drives to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights where Israel shares a border with Lebanon and Syria. Continue the day with a visit to Nazareth and Cana. Visit the Church of Annunciation. We end the day at the Jordan River where a Baptismal is optional. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

RETURN HOME

Day 11

We depart early to the airport for our flight home filled with amazing memories from the land of the Bible.
